Society and Culture: Exhibition “Russian Daily Life in the Sculpture of the 19th and 20th Centuries” is opening in St. Petersburg

22 November 2018

The exhibition “Russian Daily Life in the Sculpture of the 19th and 20th Centuries” is opening on November 22, 2018 in the Marble Palace (The State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg).

Scenes from everyday life are known to be one of the subject matters of painting and graphic art, unlike sculpture. The exhibition at the Russian Museum demonstrates a “cross-section of Russian life” from the mid-19th century to the present day, and also unfolds a spectrum of styles and artists’ creative individualities in sculpture.
