Memory of Russia: Exhibition “Leningrad during the Siege” in Podporozhye marks the 75th anniversary of complete lifting of the Nazi siege of Leningrad

The Podporozhye Local History Museum (Leningrad Region) presents the display “Leningrad during the Siege”, which marks the 75th anniversary of complete lifting of the Nazi siege of Leningrad.

The exhibition showcases materials on loan from the Breakthrough of the Siege of Leningrad Museum-Reserve along with the objects from the museum’s collections: personal items of defenders of the city, photographs, bills, Simon A. Gehlberg’s siege diary, ration cards, leaflets, pamphlets, children’s books, which were published in besieged Leningrad, postcards, a potbelly stove that helped people to keep warm in those cold days and gave them hope.
