The Cleveland Museum of Art (the USA) has made high-resolution digital images and collections freely available by means of Internet.
Internet users now have access to over 30,000 CMA artworks that are in the public domain. Additional information on more than 61,000 artworks – both those in the public domain and those with copyright or other restrictions is also available now.
The CMA’s Open Access program is the most comprehensive to date with high-resolution images in both JPG and TIF formats as well as a fully operable application programming interface (API) that can be accessed at http://openaccess-api.clevelandart.org.
