History of Russia: “The Germans in the Russian History” exhibition kicked off in St. Petersburg

On February 8, 2019 the State Museum of Political History of Russia (St. Petersburg) is staging an exhibition “The Germans in the Russian History”.

The travelling exhibition marks 250 years since the invitation of German colonists by Empress Catherine II and spans over three centuries of the history of people, who made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Russian society, its development and European integration. The exhibition consists of three sections: “The Germans in the Russian History”, “Family and Everyday Life of the Russian Germans” and “The Russian Germans in Modern Russia”.
