Commemorative Dates of Russia: New exhibition in Yekaterinburg spotlights Pavel Bazhov’s 140th anniversary of birth

The Claire Sverdlovsk Regional Local History Museum presents an exhibition, which marks the 140th anniversary of birth of writer Pavel Bazhov. This event is held within the Year of Bazhov in Sverdlovsk Region.

Pavel Bazhov was born in 1879 into a family of a Sysert factory worker not far from Yekaterinburg. Pavel Bazhov’s eyes, or rather his look, is the main motif of this exhibition. The photographs of the 1940s-1950s tell a story of a boy from Sysert, who became a celebrated writer.
