History and Culture: First exhibition from a series about the Bosporan Kingdom to open in the Azov Museum-Reserve in Rostov Region

On February 8, 2019 the Azov History, Archaeology and Paleontology Museum-Reserve (Rostov Region) is mounting an exhibition, which acquaints visitors with the culture, religious beliefs and main activities of the Hellenes in Bosporus through the images of painted ceramics dating from around VIII-III cc. BC. It is opening a series of exhibitions, which will spotlight the Kingdom of the Bosporus. The exhibition is part of the “Golden Ring of the Bosporan Kingdom” tourism program.

There are over 170 items on display: painted vases and their fragments from the collections of the Azov Museum-Reserve, as well as replicas of vessels.
