History and Culture: “Antiquities from Beryozovo” exhibition of the 18th – 19th cc. icons kicked off in Gorno-Altaysk

An exhibition of works of religious art from the town of Beryozovo is underway in the Anokhin National Museum (the Altai Republic, Gorno-Altaysk). The exhibits are on loan from the Omsk State Local History Museum. Most of the icons from Beryozovo, which date from 18th – 19th cc., are rare examples of Tobolsk school of icon painting.
