Russian culture abroad: The State Russian Museum branch in Málaga, Spain staged exhibitions focused on the image of woman in Russian art

On February 26, 2019 the first European branch of the State Russian Museum in Málaga, Spain, staged exhibitions “Saints, Queens and Workers. The Image of Woman in Russian Art”, “Russian Female Artists. Between Tradition and Avant-Garde” and “Graphics of Russian Female Artists from the Collection of Krystyna Gmurzynska”. European audience will have a chance to admire the beauty and harmony of female images, and learn about the changing role of a woman and attitude towards her in the Russian society from the Middle Ages through the 20th century, as well as the influence of public events, fashion, literature and art on her appearance, character and activities.
