Internet and Libraries: The National Library of Russia presents a new online resource “The Solovetsky Monastery Library”

The National Library of Russia (St. Petersburg) has presented a new online resource “The Solovetsky Monastery Library”. This is a unique collection of handwritten books dating from the 15th century - the core of the famous monastery library.

The Solovetsky Monastery Library is one of the few book collections of Russian monasteries, which have survived intact. The library dates back to the end of the 15th century and is associated with the educational activities of Hegumen Dositheos.
