History and Culture: “Drawings of Russian Icons. Results of Restoration” exhibition to open in Moscow

On March 7, 2019 the Central Andrey Rublev Museum of Ancient Russian Culture and Art (Moscow) is mounting an exhibition “Drawings of Russian Icons. Results of Restoration”.

‘Proris’ (line drawing) – is a material, which has been used by icon painters for the creation of their works since ancient times. For the first time the Central Andrey Rublev Museum of Ancient Russian Culture and Art presents an exhibition, which spotlights these monuments. The exposition showcases drawings of the 2nd half of 17th – mid-19th century, which were restored at the museum’s workshop.
