The Year of Theatre in Russia 2019: A historical and documentary exhibition in St. Petersburg highlights the history of Russian opera

On the World Theatre Day, which is celebrated on March 27, the Federal Archives Exhibition Hall (St. Petersburg) presented the historical and documentary exhibition “The Queen of the Stage: The Art of Opera in Russian Theatre”, which is dedicated to the Year of Theatre in Russia.

The exhibition showcases over 350 original documents on the history of the art of opera and more than 300 copies. The exhibition will run until June 27, 2019.
