Russian Culture Abroad: Installations of Russian artists to go on display at the Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art

The 58th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art will take place from May 11 through November 24, 2019. The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and film director Alexander Sokurov are among its participants from Russia. They will present projects, which combine painting, installations, films, sculpture and architecture.

At the Art Biennale the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts will present an exhibition dedicated to 500th anniversary of Tintoretto’s birth, which will showcase works of the artist as well as paintings of contemporary artists based on his works. The 58th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art will open on May 11. "May You Live In Interesting Times" is its theme in 2019.
