3 May 2019

The exhibition “We Don’t Know What Krylov Is…” will be open in the National Pushkin Museum, Green Hall (St. Petersburg) until May 31, 2019.

The exhibition spotlights Ivan Krylov, who was a versatile person — fabulist, poet, journalist, librarian, publisher of satirical magazines, and writer of comedies. He was considered to be “an attraction of St. Petersburg”.

The phenomenon of Krylov was not fully understood and perceived by his contemporaries. The 250 years anniversary of the fabulist’s birth was marked on February 13.
