Museums of Russia: Paintings in the Church Pavilion of the Grand Menshikov Palace in Oranienbaum Museum-Reserve restored

Paintings in the Church Pavilion of the Grand Menshikov Palace in Oranienbaum Palace and Park Ensemble have been restored.

Archives house a few photographs, which depict fragments of the beautiful interior decoration of the church before its destruction in 1939. These materials, as well as iconographic and stylistic analogues of the 18th century made it possible to undertake the restoration of lost painting of the iconostasis and 39 wall paintings.
