History of Russia: Reproductions from André Durand’s album “The Pictorial and Archaeological Journey Across Russia” on display in Kolomenskoye

The exhibition “Traveller’s Sketches. Reproductions from André Durand’s Album “The Pictorial and Archaeological Journey Across Russia” will be open in the Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in Kolomenskoye until June 2, 2019.

The exhibition project is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of publication of the album “The Pictorial and Archaeological Journey Across Russia”. The exhibition showcases the original album, authentic geographical maps of Russia and Europe of the 19th century from the museum-reserve’s collection, as well as reproductions of drawings.

In Russia André Durand’s works are housed in the State Hermitage Museum, the State Historical Museum and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.
