Commemorative Dates of Russia: Exhibition “Gogol in Moscow” timed to 210th anniversary of writer’s birth kicked off in the capital

The exhibition “Gogol in Moscow” will run in the Museum of Moscow until June 2, 2019. It is timed to the 210 years anniversary of the writer’s birth and highlights his life and work in Moscow — the circle of his friends, places and events.

The exposition showcases unique exhibits from the collection of the Museum of Moscow, which include the first edition of Dead Souls, personal items and documents from other collections and archives, as well as works of modern artists dedicated to Gogol.
