Museums and Society: Museum of the Roerichs to open at VDNH in Moscow

On April 27, 2019 the State Museum of Oriental Art is presenting a large-scale exhibition “Preserving Culture. The Museum of the Roerichs at VDNH”.

It will be staged in the VDNH Healthcare Pavilion No. 13, which will open its doors for the public after a major restoration.

Visitors will see more than 400 works by Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerich - paintings, oriental sculptures and Tibetan icons (thangka paintings) brought by Nicholas Roerich from his scientific and art expedition to India and Central Asia in the 1920s.
