History and Culture: “Easter Holiday” display of postcards presented in Astrakhan

The exhibition under the title “Easter Holiday” will run in the Museum of History of the City in Astrakhan until May 5, 2019. Visitors will have a chance to see the series of “open letters”, which residents sent each other on the eve of the holiday in the late 19th – 1930s. The postcards are provided by famous collector Vladimir Gusev. Some of the cards on display have a very notable fate, which they shared with their owners.

Vladimir Gusev has amassed a large postcard collection. For instance, over 60 cards make up the Easter collection. Visitors can see them in the showcases and in the album.
