Igor Stravinsky was one of the key figures of the world musical art of the 20th century. The materials housed in the Manuscripts Department of the National Library of Russia preserve the memory of the time Stravinsky spent in St. Petersburg-Leningrad and highlight both the years of study, which preceded his departure abroad, and his arrival in his hometown in 1962. These materials formed the basis of the new virtual exhibition of the Manuscripts Department under the title ”I will Certainly Return to Leningrad”: I. F. Stravinsky in His Homeland”.
