Peoples of Russia: Exhibition “Decoration Made of Metal and Glass in National Costume of Peoples of Russia” mounted in St. Petersburg

The Russian Museum of Ethnography (St. Petersburg) presents the exhibition “Decoration Made of Metal and Glass in National Costume of Peoples of Russia”, which will run until September 15, 2019.

The exhibition continues the projects launched by the Russian Museum of Ethnography, which are dedicated to the theme “Anthropology of Things”. It showcases the collection of festive wear of peoples of the Russian Empire. Items made of metal and glass introduced in the context (cloth, material) of costume played an important role in its decoration.
