Year of Theatre in Russia 2019: Exhibition “Marking the Anniversary of the Maly Theatre: Productions, Benefit Performances, Tours” staged in Moscow

The Russian State Library, Moscow (Printed Music and Sound Recordings Department Hall) presents the exhibition “Marking the Anniversary of the Maly Theatre: Productions, Benefit Performances and Tours”, which is dedicated to the Year of Theatre. The exhibition will be open through September 15, 2019.

The exhibition is organized by the RSL’s Newspapers Department and the Printed Music and Sound Recordings Department. It is based on the documents dating from the 19th — early 21st centuries: newspapers, printed music and gramophone records. The aim of the exposition is to give an insight into the history of the Maly Theatre, which is celebrating its 195th birthday this year, present other drama theatres, theatrical and musical productions and audio recordings of performances starring great Russian actors.
