History of Russia: Exhibition “Photographs of the Trubetskoy Bastion Prison” to kick off in St. Petersburg

The exhibition “Photographs of the Trubetskoy Bastion Prison” will be mounted in the Peter and Paul Fortress on August 23, 2019.

The Trubetskoy Bastion Prison, which was built in the Peter and Paul Fortress in 1870–1872, was one of the main political prisons in Russia until 1921.

Unique photographs of the Trubetskoy Bastion Prison dating from the late 19th – early 20th century and archival documents will go on display as part of the exhibition.
