History of St. Petersburg: Exhibition of graphic works of Leningrad architect Yakov Rubanchik to be mounted ahead of the anniversary of the beginning of the Siege

The exhibition “Yakov Rubanchik: “They Won’t Go Further!!!” will be staged on September 4, 2019 as part of the exposition of the Monument to Heroic Defenders of Leningrad (St. Petersburg).

The exhibition will showcase over 140 graphic works made by Leningrad architect Yakov Rubanchik (1899–1948) in besieged Leningrad. During the Great Patriotic War the architect, who stayed in the besieged city, created a series of graphic works “Leningrad during the Great Patriotic War. The Architect’s Diary” – sketches of the life of the city and its residents during the siege.
