Year of Theatre in Russia 2019: Exhibition “The Golden Age of Leningrad Theatre Posters. The 1950s-1980s” to open in St. Petersburg

The exhibition “The Golden Age of Leningrad Theatre Posters. The 1950s-1980s” is opening in the Peter and Paul Fortress (St. Petersburg) on October 14, 2019.

The exhibition is dedicated to the Leningrad theatre poster as a special genre of graphics and an element of urban environment.

The exhibition will showcase roughly 100 theatre posters from the collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg. The exposition will also feature sketches of stage sets and costumes, original theatrical costumes and photographs. Most of the items will go on display for the first time.
