Marking the Day of Memory and Sorrow: Exhibition “They Were the First” staged in Ulyanovsk

The Day of Memory and Sorrow is marked in our country on June 22. Ahead of this day the State Archive of Contemporary History of Ulyanovsk Region is mounting the exhibition “They Were the First”. The exhibition is staged in the Book Palace – the Lenin Ulyanovsk Regional Research Library.

On display are particularly valuable archival documents and photographs from the private collections of the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945) participants, the Museum of Komsomol Glory, and from the collection of personal documents of the Great Patriotic War participants, who began fighting in the war on June 22, 1941. The exhibition will run until July 19, 2019.
