Memory of Russia: Exhibition “Light Your Candle” staged in Veliky Novgorod

The exhibition “Light Your Candle” was mounted on June 17, 2019 in the Novgorod Regional Universal Research Library’s Reading Room.

June 22, 1941 – is one of the saddest dates in the history of our Fatherland – the day, when the Great Patriotic War began. This day is marked in Russia as the Day of Memory and Sorrow.

The exhibition showcases books and magazine articles about the beginning of the war, heroism and self-sacrifice of Soviet soldiers, courage and fortitude of ordinary Soviet citizens, and about children, whose work and bravery helped the front, as well as memories of war participants. The exhibition will run until June 28.
