Memory of Russia: Wartime documents to go on display at the Main Archive Directorate of Moscow and in public services centers

21 June 2019

Ahead of the Day of Memory and Sorrow the Main Archive Directorate of Moscow and My Documents centers are mounting exhibitions dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The expositions feature archival materials and copies of documents and photographs, which were provided by residents over the past two months as part of “Moscow Takes Care of History” campaign.

The first exhibition will open in the public services center in Krylatskoye District. Visitors will have a chance to listen to This is Our Victory audio play, which is based on V. Kushchinsky’s story The Tanks’ Advance. It includes memories of a soldier, who took part in the Great Patriotic War.

The Great Patriotic War documents and photographs, including works by celebrated war correspondents and Mikhail Ratkin’s diary entries, will be displayed at the Main Archive Directorate. The exhibition will be open until June 30.
