Memory of Russia: Project of a monument to Daniil Granin chosen in St. Petersburg

A monument to Daniil Granin, whose centenary of birth is being celebrated this year, will be erected in St. Petersburg in autumn.

Out of 23 designs submitted as part of the contest to choose the best project for the monument, the jury selected 4 works. Marina Chernyshyova-Granina made the final decision.

The winning design came from St. Petersburg sculptor Yevgeny Burkov. It shows the writer, who is sitting in the armchair holding a book.
