World Memory: Exhibition marking the completion of conservation of a unique work of Classical sculpture to kick off in the State Hermitage Museum

In December 2019 the State Hermitage Museum will present the exhibition “The Calvatone Victory: The Fate of a Masterpiece”.

The exhibition marks the completion of conservation of a statue of Victory on a Sphere, a unique work of Classical sculpture dating from the second century AD, found by archaeologists in 1836 in Lombardy (Italy), not far from Calvatone.
