Memory of Russia: Iron Town Festival to kick off in Izborsk

The Iron Town Festival will take place in Izborsk on August 3 - 4, 2019. The event will bring together over 100 re-enactors from 10 historical clubs of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Belgorod, Velikiye Luki, and Pskov.

The festival’s program includes the opening ceremony, the parade of clubs, the display of historical costumes, the archery tournament, horse competitions, etc. Visitors to the festival will have an opportunity to see the everyday life in a military medieval historical camp located on the plateau over Gorodishche Lake.
