History of Russia: Outdoor exhibitions in Moscow highlight 250 years since the issue of first banknotes in Russia

The Bank of Russia is mounting an exhibition, which marks 250 years since the appearance of first banknotes in Russia. The exposition is opening on August 1 on Arbat.

It will feature 30 photographs of paper money from the collection of the Bank of Russia Museum and spotlight different production techniques. Visitors will also see modern banknotes, which present the design and technological achievements of the present time. Another exhibition “A House for the Bank” will be staged on August 1.  

The exhibitions will be open until August 30.
