Regions of Russia: Exhibition in Yoshkar-Ola marks the city’s 435th birthday

The Main Archive Directorate of Moscow has organized an exhibition timed to coincide with the 435th birthday of Yoshkar-Ola. It is based on the materials of the State Archive of the Mari El Republic.

The exhibition showcases archival materials, which trace the centuries-old history of the city - from the provincial town of Tsarevokokshaysk in Kazan Governorate to the capital of the Mari El Republic. The exhibition will be open until November 29, 2019.
