World History and Culture: Exhibition “In the Shadow of Mountain Tops: Mountain Peoples of Afghanistan” staged in Moscow

The State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow) presents the exhibition “In the Shadow of Mountain Tops: Mountain Peoples of Afghanistan”, which spotlights the ancient culture of mountain peoples, who inhabit present-day Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Pakistan.

The exposition features items from the museum’s and private collections: costumes, jewelry, household items, weapons, archival photographs and documentary video materials.

The exhibition “In the Shadow of Mountain Tops: Mountain Peoples of Afghanistan” will be open until November 4, 2019.
