World History and Culture: Exhibition “Russia and Oceania (19th-21st centuries)” mounted in Veliky Novgorod

The State Art Museum in Veliky Novgorod presents the exhibition “Russia and Oceania (19th-21st centuries)” .

The exhibition showcases photographic materials, which spotlight explorations and discoveries made by Russian travellers and researchers, such as N. N. Miklouho-Maclay, I. F. Krusenstern, F. F. Bellingshausen, M. P. Lazarev and others, in the 19th-21st centuries. It features copies of original materials from state archives and museums of St. Petersburg and Moscow, which present achievements of Russian researchers and travellers in South Seas.

The exhibition will be open until February 2020.
