Monuments of book culture: Nizhny Novgorod Museum-Reserve showcases masterpieces of the collection of old-printed books from its collections

The Nizhny Novgorod Museum-Reserve first at its exhibition “This Book of the Verbal ...” presents the most valuable objects from the stock of old printed books, which can be counted among the monuments of world book art.

455 years ago, in 1564, at the Moscow Printing House, Ivan Fedorov and Peter Mstislavets completed work on the first Russian printed book “Epistles and Acts of the Apostles”. The exhibition features some old printed books of the XVI - XX centuries. from the museum’s collection - genuine masterpieces of Russian and world typographic art.
