World History and Culture: Kandinsky’s works on display in Riyadh, an exposition spotlighting an ancient city of Saudi Arabia to be mounted at the Hermitage Museum in spring

In spring the State Hermitage Museum will stage an exhibition dedicated to the ancient city of Al Ula, which was located on the territory of present-day Saudi Arabia, Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the Hermitage Museum, announced after the inauguration of the exhibition “Culture of Russia in Riyadh”.

“This exhibition spotlights the city of Al-Ula and its monuments, that is the southern capital of the Nabataean Kingdom. It is one of the major cultural and archaeological sites of Saudi Arabia. The exhibition is currently underway in Paris, after that it will visit Russia in April”, he said.
