The exhibition “An Extraordinarily Strange Writer…”: Dostoevsky and Edgar Poe” will kick off at the Dostoevsky Museum in St. Petersburg on October 26, 2019 in commemoration of the 210th anniversary of the American writer’s birth.
The exhibition is devoted to stories authored by Edgar Allan Poe - the classic of American literature. He was introduced to Russian readers by Fyodor Dostoevsky, who published Edgar Poe’s three stories in his Vremya (Time) magazine as well as his own article, which preceded them.
