World Culture: Exhibition “From Neo-Classicism to Impressionism. 19th-Century French Painting and Sculpture from the Hermitage Collection” kicked off in Vyborg

The exhibition “From Neo-Classicism to Impressionism. 19th-Century French Painting and Sculpture from the Hermitage Collection” will be open at the Hermitage-Vyborg Exhibition Centre until April 11, 2020.

The collection of the French painting of the first half of the 19th century and mid-19th century is one of the most remarkable ones at the Hermitage Museum. It currently comprises 500 paintings. There are 38 paintings and 36 sculptures on display in Vyborg. The works provide an opportunity to appreciate the diversity of the Hermitage collection. The exposition covers the period from the Age of Enlightenment to the 2nd half of the 19th century and is divided into four thematic sections.
