History of Russia: Two exhibitions devoted to Pskov architecture mounted at the Pskov Kremlin

The exhibition “Residents of Pskov – Builders of Churches in Russian Towns” was opened at the Pskov Kremlin on November 4 - the National Unity Day. The exhibition is devoted to monuments of religious architecture and fortifications, which were built by Pskov architects between the 16th and 17th centuries outside their home town.

The exhibition was mounted within “Pskov in the History of Orthodoxy in Russia” Orthodox Arts Festival, which was organized at the initiative of the Pskov Diocese and Metropolitan Tikhon of Pskov and Porkhov.

Another exhibition “Lost Churches of Pskov” was staged along the embankment of the Velikaya River.
