Internet and History: Materials about women - Great Patriotic War participants now available on Moscow Electronic School’s portal

Ninety photographs from the collections of the Main Archive Directorate of Moscow have been released on the Moscow Electronic School’s portal. Materials from the archival department spotlight women, who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

The Moscow Electronic School’s portal provides access to works of prominent Russian photojournalists: Viktor Akhlomov, Boris Vdovenko, Georgy Korabelnikov, Valentin Mastyukov, Mikhail Trakhman, Boris Yaroslavtsev and others. About 800,000 women fought on the frontlines and served in all military branches.
