IT and Culture: Museum of Lost Paintings available online

Seventeen masterpieces that have disappeared will become available for study as part of the Museum of Lost Paintings project, which will be launched on November 14, 2019. The joint project of RIA Novosti and the State Russian Museum involves collecting and presentation of lost artworks online. 

Seven museums, foundations and galleries have joined the project. The State Russian Museum has provided paintings, which were part of the travelling exhibition “The Main Stages of the Development of Russian Painting” (1940). They were not recovered because the war broke out.
