Society and Culture: Illustrations for Eugene Onegin novel on display within “The Collection of Colourful Chapters” exhibition in Torzhok

On November 21, specialists from the Mikhailovskoye Pushkin Museum-Reserve presented the exhibition “The Collection of Colourful Chapters” in the Pushkin Museum in Torzhok (branch of the Tver State Museum).

The exposition showcases 68 original watercolours – illustrations for Eugene Onegin novel made by the prominent Russian graphic artist Yuri Ignatyev (1930–1992). Works of this master, illustrator of the world and Russian literary classics can be found in Russian museums and private collections worldwide. “The Collection of Colourful Chapters” – is one of the most popular travelling exhibitions of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve.
