Society and Culture: Exhibition “The Song of Frost. Arctic Photographs of Sergei Anisimov” to open at the Darwin Museum in Moscow

On December 3, 2019 the Darwin Museum in Moscow is presenting the exhibition “The Song of Frost. Arctic Photographs of Sergei Anisimov”.

The exhibition features photographs made by the professional photographer Sergei Anisimov. The photographer spent many years taking pictures of northern parts of our planet: Bely Island, Spitzbergen, Wrangel Island, Franz Joseph Land, as well as Greenland, Canada, Iceland, Norway, and Finland. But the native Yamal peninsula is the photographer’s favourite place. Apart from the breathtaking landscapes visitors will see expressive portraits of indigenous people of the North and learn about their everyday life.
