History and Culture: Exhibition “Repin as a Creator of a Myth about Tolstoy” mounted in Cheboksary

An exhibition under the title “Repin as a Creator of a Myth about Tolstoy” will be open at the Rainbow Cultural and Exhibition Center in Cheboksary until December 29, 2019. The exhibition features 136 works from the collections of the Leo Tolstoy State Museum (Moscow) and is dedicated to artist Ilya Repin and writer Leo Tolstoy.

The exhibition, which marks the 175th anniversary of Ilya Repin’s birth, spotlights a major chapter in the life story of two masters – their close friendship, which had lasted for 30 years.
