Year of Theatre in Russia 2019: “Fairy Tale at the Theatre” exhibition to open at Ostafyevo Museum-Estate in Moscow

As part of the Year of Theatre in Russia on December 5, 2019 the ROSIZO State Museum and Exhibition Center, the Bolshoi Theatre State Museum of Russia and the Union of Artists of Russia are presenting an exhibition under the title “Fairy Tale at the Theatre”. The exhibition will be staged in the exhibition halls of the Ostafyevo State Museum-Reserve.  

The exhibition shows a magic world of operas and ballets based on fairy tales. The first such ballet staged at the Russian theatre was a magic and heroic production of Ruslan and Lyudmila of 1821.
