Year of Theatre in Russia 2019: “Ivanovo Theatres. Captured Moments” exhibition staged in Ivanovo

The Museum and Exhibition Center in Ivanovo presents an exhibition dedicated to particularly memorable moments in the history of theatres in Ivanovo. The retrospective exposition, which will be open until March 15, 2020, traces the history of the theatre life in Ivanovo from the first Ivanovo-Voznesensk Theatre, which was founded by Vasily Demidov in 1873 to the epoch of the Ivanovo Public Youth Music and Poetry Theatre-Studio under the direction of Regina Grinberg.

On display are documents, photographs of theatrical productions and leading actors, which spotlight wide-ranging activities of theatres up to the 1970s.
