Memory of Russia: Russia During the Great War Museum in the Armory Chamber in Tsarskoye Selo presents the exhibition “In the Light of Wax Candles”

The Tsarskoye Selo Museum-Reserve presents the exhibition “In the Light of Wax Candles”, which will be open until February 25, 2020. The exposition, which is dedicated to artist Mikhail Kirsanov, is mounted in the Russia During the Great War Museum in the Armory Chamber. September 28, 2019 marks the 130th anniversary of the artist’s birth. In 1915 he painted portraits of holders of the Order of St. George. Fourteen paintings have survived to this day.
