The State Historical Museum (Moscow) presents the exhibition “Russian Wedding. Tradition and Rites”. It is dedicated to wedding traditions, which play a crucial part in the everyday life and spiritual culture of the people.

The exposition features 17th-century icons created by icon painters in the 1680s, accounts of the weddings of tsars Mikhail Feodorovich and Alexei Mikhailovich, Tsarina Yevdokiya Lopukhina’s icon, wooden high relief figures, which show a peasant wedding, etc.
