History and Culture: The Kunstkamera in St. Petersburg presents the exhibition “A Star will Soon Appear in the Sky: Christmas in Germany”

On December 26, 2019 the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (the Kunstkamera, or Kunstkammer) in St. Petersburg presents a temporary exhibition under the title “A Star will Soon Appear in the Sky: Christmas in Germany. New Acquisitions. The Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Sciences.”

The Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Sciences holds unique collections of German Christmas ornaments of the 19th-21st centuries, famous nutcrackers, and handmade wooden nativity scene models. The exhibition will be open through February.
