Memorable dates of Russia: Events dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Griboyedov held in the Khmelita Museum-Reserve, celebrating its 25th anniversary

January 15, 2020 marks the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Griboyedov, an outstanding playwright, musician, diplomat, and great citizen of Russia.

Griboyedov also created other dramatic works, musical compositions, and poems. Griboedov is the author of the draft Turkmanchay peace treaty between the Russian Empire and Persia, which completed the Russo-Persian war of 1826–1828.
